Mini Cheer Camp

Everyone's wild about Wildcat Mini Cheer Camp!  It was a fun-filled week of smiles, jumps, crafts, dances and cheers as over 150 K-5th graders roared with Wildcat spirit! The entire week focused on friendship and teamwork and what it truly means to be a leader in your school and community.  Led entirely by the Varsity and Junior Varsity squads, the Mini Cheer Camp raised money for competition, clinics, camps and scholarships. But more than that, it brought joy to cheerleaders, parents and kids alike. We can’t wait to see all our little cheerleaders this season!

1st Annual Sadie's Dance

Spirit Shop is open:

The Athletic Booster Club has kindly covered the cost of football game tickets so you can get them early. We have 8 games in DISD stadiums and the tickets can be used at any and all of these games. Because of this we would like to sell a sort of "season ticket package" to families that want to go ahead and get their tickets now and not worry about a line the rest of the season! There is virtually no risk in this purchase because if you find you have too many tickets you can sell them homecoming or something no problem - tickets sales are never a problem around Woodrow!

We will also try to continue to set up some ticket sales during lunch hours at Woodrow throughout the year, but this takes volunteers and if we don't have volunteers we can't sell.

The ticket prices are:

Adult - $6 (I'm told they are $7 at the door)
Student/Child - $3

So, if you want to purchase a "Season Ticket Package" they are

$48 for Adults (for 8 tickets)
$24 for Students/Child (for 8 tickets)

We can take check to WWHS Athletic Booster Club or Cash! If you are interested in picking some up please click link below to our email

* Denotes a Home game If the Varsity is Home, then JV/9 is visitor. ** 10/13 is Homecoming

The White Rock Rowing Junior program is a nationally recognized youth rowing program that includes youth from middle and high schools across the Dallas Metroplex. It is a fun and competitive rowing program that encourages and emphasizes good sportsmanship and individual responsibility; traits that will serve young people well for their lifetimes. Team members are encouraged to achieve personal as well as team goals. White Rock Rowing trains from September to May and competes both at regattas in Texas and Oklahoma and at rowing venues across the United States. Qualified boats race at the USRowing Youth Nationals held each June.

The White Rock Rowing Junior program is open to all 7th graders and above. White Rock Rowing is a co-ed program comprised of middle school, novice, and varsity athletes. No experience is needed to begin rowing. Young men and women compete separately in novice and varsity squads. All technical and conditioning training is introduced in the first year.

Woodrow's Crew team competes though the White Rock Rowing club. Students wishing to get PE credit for rowing must follow the instructions for the off-campus PE credit, found on the Athletics Forms/Policies page.

For more information about rowing, visit the White Rock Rowing website.

tennis2018-casual.jpgWoodrow Wilson offers both girls and boys varsity tennis. The Wildcats compete in accordance with University Interscholastic Guidelines as part of District 12-4A. In the fall, the boys and girls teams compete collectively in head-to-head matches with other schools. In the spring, the athletes compete as singles, doubles, or mixed doubles players. Players advance to regional competition by placing first or second in the district tournament. The mission of tennis at Woodrow Wilson is to provide an educational, entertaining, friendly and inviting, functional and innovative experience of uncompromising quality that meets the health and fitness needs of all involved. The expectation is that we will learn through effort and reflection. Respect will be shown for rules, opponents, officials, teammates, and ourselves.
