Tim Brown / Woodrow Wilson High School
For 21 years Woodrow's very own Heisman Trophy Winner Tim Brown donates his time and money to help the Woodrow Wildcat Booster Club.
This year Eighty-eight golfers turned out for the 2013 Tim Brown Woodrow Wilson Golf tournament at Tennison Park on May 6 to benefit Woodrow's Athletic Department. Tim Brown, the 1987 Heisman Trophy winner from Notre Dame and Los Angeles/Oakland Raider professional football player, sponsors the tournament and was on hand to play golf, sign autographs, and run the annual auction. This was the twenty first year of the annual Tim Brown fundraiser, and when asked why he sponsors the tournament every year, year in and year out, Brown simply replied: “Why wouldn't I? Woodrow was my High School.”
Brown graduated from Woodrow Wilson in 1984. The 2013 Girls 4A State Golf Champion, Grace Choi, and members of be WW football team were also on hand to thank all those who participated and contributed at this year’s event.
