The Student Council helps share students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and school principals. They help organize and raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events such as Homecoming, and community projects. Student Council Officer positions are: President, Vice President of Administration, Secretary of Finance, Events Chair, Fundraising Chair, and Class Representatives for each grade. Please note that only Juniors and Seniors are eligible to run for the offices of President, Vice President and Secretary of Finance; Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors may run for Events Chair, Fundraising Chair, and Class Representative. Job descriptions for each office are included in the Application for Student Council Officer. All students are welcome to join the Student Council as general members.
If you are interested in running for Student Council Officer, please print the application, or pick one up before school or after school in Ms. Varner's room (1205), or Ms. Cabaniss's room (3217). All students will vote for student council officers. Please email questions to Ms. Varner.
Class Officers represent their class in class-specific events, and plan and organize class fundraisers. This is different than Student Council Officers who represent the entire school. Job descriptions for each office are included in the Application for Class Officer. All applications are due to Ms. Varner or Ms. Cabaniss.
