I am excited to announce that we have a very informative speaker lined up for our Wednesday, November 3 PTA General Meeting. The meeting will be virtual and begin at 7 p.m. Our speaker is Catherine Marrs* from Marrs College Admission Advisors. Her talk is titled "Preparing for College: How to Look Your Strongest & Minimize Your Debt."
If you have a child in high school, it is never too early to begin strategizing your child's college plan. From identifying your students strengths and interests to choosing a college and navigating the application process. The process can be stressful, confusing and put a burden on all members of the family. Please make plans to join us!

The Lakewood Home Tour is a huge part of their fundraising efforts and they need volunteers to make it happen. This year LECPTA has designated 6827 Lakeshore to Woodrow PTA so our parents, students and alumni can volunteer together to work a home tour. The Lakewood Home Tour is November 12-13. AUDITIONS FOR PIPPIN
Preliminary auditions for this year's musical, Pippin, will be held on Saturday, November 6. There will be a signup sheet available on the callboard outside of the Black Box (across from the choir room) on Monday, November 1.
There will be two song choices available for boys to sing, and two song choices available for girls to sing. These will be made available to students this week (sometime after the choir performance on Tuesday night). Students should choose only one song and prepare it.
There will be a rehearsal to learn each song on Monday or Tuesday (November 1-2). One session for boys and one session for girls. The songs will be learned as a group, but each person must sing their song solo for the audition. There will not be makeup sessions for the rehearsals or for the auditions. If you cannot make these times, you must learn the music on your own.
All Woodrow students are invited to audition. You MUST AUDITION to be in the show, even in the chorus.
Callbacks will be posted on Monday, November 8. There will be new songs to learn for each character that you are called back for. The rehearsal to learn these songs will be after school on Wednesday, November 10.
Callbacks will be scheduled for Saturday, November 13 and will last most of that day. No rescheduling will be allowed.
Congratulations to our students chosen by audition for the TMEA Choirs!
