PTA LIVE SPEAKER / RAISING DIGITAL NATIVES: WHAT'S NEW? WHAT'S NOW? WHAT'S NEXT?

Join the Woodrow PTA Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. for a virtual PTA speaker and Q&A session on teens and technology. Katie LeClerc Greer is a nationally recognized digital safety expert who will share the latest tech trends, safety issues, and tips on how to help our kids have a productive, healthy relationship with technology.

PTA HONORARY LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP AWARD

Nominations are being taken to recognize and acknowledge those in our community who have year after year given of themselves to improve student outcomes. To nominate someone, please write a short description of the contributions your nominee has made to Woodrow students and email the nomination to Becky Daniel prior to the March 31, 2022, deadline. Winners will be announced during the PTA end-of-year awards and celebration party in May. We are Woodrow!

DISD PARENT SURVEY / ENCUESTA PARA PADRES

DISD is asking parents to take a survey to share their opinions about their children's schools and other topics that will help improve schools and the district overall. You will need your student's seven digit ID number to start the survey.

Dallas ISD le pide a los padres que nos dejen saber sus opiniones acerca de las escuelas de sus hijos y otros temas para ayudarnos a mejorar las escuelas y el distrito en general.

COURSE SELECTION PROCESS

Review the website about the course selection process. Students can also explore available programs and ask questions via e-mail about programs they are interested in. Students can talk to teachers about course recommendations.

SAT TEST FOR JUNIORS

Juniors will take the SAT test during the school day Thursday, March 3. We will continue to share information about test preparation and the test day through Remind, the Cohort Google Classroom, and the School Messenger system.

COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS

Help support Woodrow by purchasing a commemorative brick! The Class of 2003 installed the first commemorative bricks and benches in our horseshoe to create a Woodrow “Walk of Pride” seating area. You can purchase a brick for a student, an alumnus, your favorite teacher or your class. Orders are taken during the school year through the end of May. Installation will happen over the summer break.
