MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL MORAN

Woodrow Families

Hey Wildcats, this is a busy second week. On Wednesday evening we will offer textbook pick up, technology support, and a virtual college fair. Please join the PTA and consider serving on our Site Based Decision Making Committee. In distance learning, this week you should see clearer directions for students in Google Classroom, increased teacher interaction and availability during the class period, and more efficient procedures for attendance. See details and links below:

  • MAPs Testing: Juniors will test on Wednesday, September 16. Find testing times and directions. If you need information about our online option, please complete this online form. The goal is to have 100% of the students test in order to provide us with an accurate baseline as we start the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the testing coordinator at mmclaughlin@dallasisd.org
  • Textbooks: AP and IB books will be available for pick up Wednesday afternoon. Contact your teacher for location and specific time.
  • Technology: If you still need tech devices (Chromebook / Hotspot) or support (passwords, Google Classroom), come to campus from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 16.
  • Virtual College Fair: There is a virtual college fair Wednesday, September 16 from 6-8 p.m. Students must register to attend.
  • Site-Based Decision Making Committee: Submission deadline for the SBDM candidate form is Wednesday, September 16 at 5 p.m.

OUR SUPERHEROES WEAR MASKS!

Last week the Teacher Appreciation Committee was hard at work, stuffing nearly 200 gift bags for Woodrow teachers and staff. The bags included treats as well as a custom Teacher/Staff only designed Woodrow Wildcat face mask. Thank you to all the teachers and staff members who have worked so hard to get this school year started - your Woodrow PTA appreciates you.

GO WOODROW!
