MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL MORAN

Hey Wildcats, in order to reduce emails and redundant communication, we will partner with the PTA to house information on their calendar and share weekly reminders through their newsletter. We’ve included important upcoming dates below, but please subscribe to the calendar or visit the Woodrow PTA site and click on calendar.

  • Re-entry Survey: The deadline to complete the Re-entry Survey is Wednesday, September 23. Currently 80% of families have submitted their preference. We need 100% participation.
  • MAPs Testing: Sophomores will test on Wednesday, September 23. Read the MAPs Plan Overview for testing times and directions. If you need information about our online option, complete this online form. The goal is to have 100% of students test in order to provide us with an accurate baseline as we start the year.
  • Return to School Dates
    • September 21: Marching band, drill team, and cheerleaders return to school for practice. Communicate with the coach/sponsor for details.
    • September 28: 9th graders return based on the school model

    • 10th, 11, 12th grade meetings TBD
  • SBDMOur first meeting will be Wednesday, September 23 at 6 p.m. PM via Zoom. SBDM voting will have to be virtual this year. To provide a fair election, parents are asked to register by Tuesday, September 22 at 6 p.m. so we can send you the Zoom meeting link. (Note: Parents will need their child’s ID number to register.) You can download a tentative agenda for the meeting.
  • Testing Calendar: You can view the Districtwide Testing Schedule on the Dallas ISD website.
  • Sports Calendars – This live calendar of games and matches is updated by our athletic director.
  • ASP Calendar: This calendar has important information about college workshops and support from our Academic Service Provider (ASP).
  • SAT and ACT Prep Sessions: Dallas ISD high school students have the opportunity to attend ACT and SAT Boot Camp. Spots are limited. Register online ASAP.
  • Dallas ISD UIL Grading Period and Eligibility CalendarView or download the eligibility calendar for 2020-21.
