Woodrow Family:

Tuesday, October 20 is the ACT for the 12th graders/students that are graduating in 2021. This day is also a FLEX DAY. Wednesday will be a B Day. Refer again to the A/B calendar.

Class of 2021 Parents:

On Tuesday, October 20, there will be a parent meeting from 6-7:30 p.m. The meeting will be hosted virtually on Zoom. We'll discuss updates from Josten's, senior activities, Dallas County Promise, as well as how to prepare for the Senior College Blitz on October 28.

ACT Information:

The ACT will start at 9 a.m. Please arrive to campus no later than 8:30 a.m. to get in line for entry procedures at your designated entry door.

  • ALL Seniors are automatically registered.
  • You may bring snacks and a drink. Lunch will be provided for you, but there is NO EXTENDED lunch break longer than 10 minutes during the ACT. This is not a district rule, or a Woodrow rule, but rather ACT timing.
  • For standard time there is ONE 10-minute break and for extended time, there are TWO 10-minute breaks. You may eat your snack or lunch during this time, but you will not receive any other break.
  • You may bring your own calculator, pencils, and sharpeners. A calculator, pencil and SOME sharpeners will also be available for you in your testing rooms.
  • School dress code / appropriate testing clothing is expected.
  • Once your whole testing room is done with the test, you may leave campus.
  • Buses will be provided, will run on a FULL DAY SCHEDULE, and leave at the end of the day, around 4:30 p.m.

The entry door location and list of testing rooms will be posted in the Cohort 2021 Google Classroom. If you are not on this list and are a confirmed senior, or graduating in 2021, please email Mrs. McLaughlin. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to reach out! Thank you!
