Gifts for Staff & Teachers

The Staff Appreciation Committee would love your help sponsoring holiday gifts for our awesome Woodrow teachers and staff!  Please sign up to sponsor gift cards and small classroom items, which will be purchased, bundled and distributed by the committee.

Spirit Shop Volunteers Needed

The Spirit Shop is open outside the Big Gym from 7:30 to 9:05 a.m. every Thursday morning. There is a staff member posted at the glass doors by the Big Gym to let people in who want to shop or pick up orders.

PEACE PANTRY
Peace Pantry Supplemental Food Pick Up

Pick up bags of supplemental food and meal items in the Main Office before school or in Room 1103 after school on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (4:30 to 5:00 p.m.). 

No paperwork is needed. 

For any questions or assistance, please see Ms. Tanner in the Main Office. 

PERFORMING ARTS
Casa Linda Tree Lighting

Variations will be performing at the Casa Linda Tree lighting on November 29th around 6:30 p.m. at the southwest corner of Garland Road and Buckner Boulevard near El Fenix.

Light Up Lakewood

Variations will also be performing at Light Up Lakewood on December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at Lakewood Shopping Center located at 2021 Abrams Road.

The Nutcracker Short 'N Suite

The Woodrow Dance Company is gearing up for its annual production of the Nutcracker Short 'n Suite! It takes support from our Woodrow Community to make this annual performance a success. 

Please consider purchasing a sponsorship or program ad to help us cover the costs of sets, costumes and production fees!

Land of Sweets Breakfast

Join us on Saturday, December 10th for a morning filled with breakfast, sweets and other delights before viewing the matinee performance of the Nutcracker Short 'n Suite!

    Take pictures with beloved characters from the show along with Santa and his Elves!

 Tickets for this fun-filled character breakfast are $15 each and include breakfast, treats and pictures with cast members. Tickets to the Nutcracker Short 'n Suite are sold separately and can be purchased here.

Winter Concert

Mark your calendars for Woodrow's Choir Concert on December 14th!

Spring Musical

There will be a Musical Parent Meeting on January 17th at 6:00 p.m. in the Black Box for parents of anyone in the musical….cast and crew.

Volleyball

Congratulations to 18 Red Athlete and Washu commit, Ellie Laird, for being nominated District Libero of the Year, First Team All-District and Academic All-District with your Woodrow Wilson Varsity team! 

Football

Congrats to Jamel Toney-Black on breaking the single season receiving record at Woodrow Wilson HS! Mel had an incredible year and we are so proud of you! Forever written into the history of #HeismanHigh! 

Swimming

Our Wildcats swimmers traveled to Lewisville to compete in the Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association Invitational. Our Wildcats were dominate in a field of predominately 6A swim teams. 

 Campbell Chase- TISCA Champion in the 200IM

 Grant Closson- TISCA Champion in the 50 Freestyle; 2nd in the 100 Freestyle

 Jack Berube- TISCA Champion in the 100 Backstroke

 Tyler Patterson- Bonus Final winner in the 200IM

 Landon Fike - PR in the 100 Butterfly

 Wildcats swimmers Grant Closson, Landon Fike, Tyler Patterson and Jack Berube set a new school record in prelims in the 200 Medley Relay and then broke that record during Finals on Saturday. They wrapped up the meet by setting a new school record in the 400 Freestyle Relay. 

 Congrats on an incredible meet!

Boys Basketball

Varsity Boys play December 1st through 3rd In the Key City Classic Tournament in Abilene.  

JV & Freshman Boys play December 1st through 3rd in the Highway 5 Tournament in Anna at Van Alstyne Middle and High Schools. 

Introducing the Woodrow Boys Varsity Basketball Captains: 

Isaac Onuoha, Hudson Wooton and Sam Harlow are getting hyped up about the road trip to Abilene - thank you Woodrow Cheer!
