FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Attendance Reminders

With testing season approaching – here are a few reminders from the Attendance Office!

Please note that there are no office helpers in the Attendance Office during 1st and 4th periods each day. This is why we ask parents to wait until after 10:00 a.m. to check a student out and to get them for afternoon appointments prior to 3:45 p.m. in the afternoon.

We also know that many students finish testing earlier than others and wish to go home when they have completed their tests. Attendance for the entire school day is required, even during testing days, as each period is included in the instructional minutes required to receive credit.  Additionally, students leaving early disrupts the testing environment for those who may still be completing their exams.

Please be reminded that all absences that are not accompanied by an excuse or doctor’s note will be marked as unexecused!

Dress Code Reminders

At Woodrow, we recognize the importance of individuality with regard to dress; however, the learning environment needs to be free of disruptions and distractions that dress code violations cause.

Wildcats, we survived the winter months and spring has arrived!

The Dress Code will be enforced once we return from Spring Break!

Students that refuse to change or are unable to obtain a change of clothing from their parent/guardian will be issued a consequence.

As a reminder:

NO UGG Slippers of any sort

NO CROCS

NO Blue Jeans

ID badges must be worn all day every day. This is a part of the dress code!

The Class of 2003 installed the first commemorative bricks and benches in our horseshoe to create a Woodrow “Walk of Pride” seating area. You can purchase a brick for a student, an alumnus, your favorite teacher, or your class.

Orders are taken during the school year through the end of May. Installation will happen over the summer break.

Pricing: Current students can purchase a brick for $45. Once a student has graduated the price of the bricks will increase to $90.

Keep in mind that this is a Fundraiser and there is a limited amount of space in our courtyard.

8 of our 11 relays ran season bests, with the 3 that didn’t being tenths of a second away from running season bests.

3 individuals placed in the top 6: Fiona Harris, Hudson Wooton, and Alex Marshall, and one relay finished Top 3. 6 other relay teams scored points by finishing in the Top 6.

Overall, our Varsity Girls finished in 7th, Varsity Boys in 8th, JV Girls in 9th, and JV Boys in 8th.
