No School Friday & Monday

There is no school on Friday, April 7th and Monday, April 10th.

Have fun and stay safe!

We'll see you bright and early on Tuesday, April 11th!

Attendance for Credit

Attendance is an essential component to a student's academic success. Often, the number of days that students are absent accumulates without parents realizing how many days have been missed.

Parent Awareness Forum on Fentanyl

At Dallas ISD, the safety and well-being of our students are our top priority.

As the deadly drug fentanyl becomes more common in our communities, Dallas ISD has been sharing resources and supports with parents. One of these supports is a parent awareness forum to be held on April 22 in cooperation with Dallas County; the City of Dallas; Children’s Hospital; the U.S. Department of Justice; law enforcement agencies; Univision and the Addictions, Drug and Alcohol Institute.

To provide Dallas ISD families with helpful information and resources, we would like to get some feedback. Please, take a moment to answer this short survey.

Brick Campaign

Help support Woodrow by purchasing a commemorative brick!

The Class of 2003 installed the first commemorative bricks and benches in our horseshoe to create a Woodrow “Walk of Pride” seating area. You can purchase a brick for a student, an alumnus, your favorite teacher, or your class.

Orders are taken during the school year through the end of May. Installation will happen over the summer break.

Pricing: Current students can purchase a brick for $45. Once a student has graduated the price of the bricks will increase to $90.

Keep in mind that this is a Fundraiser and there is a limited amount of space in our courtyard.

PTA Meeting This Wednesday

Please make plans to attend the FINAL PTA MEETING of the year on Wednesday, April 5th at 7:00 p.m. in the Library.

We will need everyone who is able to come to attend as we will be voting on the 2023-2024 Executive Board as well as the 2023-2024 Budget.

We need a quorum for both to pass, so please attend!

2023-2024 PTA

We are still in need of volunteers to serve on the Nominating Committee and Budget Committee for next year. Please contact Kathy Ruff ASAP if you can serve on either committee.

The Self Nomination Form for next year's PTA Board is now open!  Please complete the form as soon as you can or e-mail Kathy Ruff if you intend to return to your position next year.

Award Nominations

It is time to start collecting nominations for our annual PTA Lifetime Membership/Extended Service Award.

Each year, the PTA presents these awards to 3 or 4 outstanding parent/community/staff members who have gone above and beyond to show their commitment to our school.

If you have someone you would like to nominate, please e-mailPresident Kathy Ruff with the name of your nominee along with a brief write-up of why you believe this person deserves the award.
