FROM THE PRINCIPAL

To the Woodrow Family,

With Wildcat pride and excitement, I welcome you back for the 2023-2024 school year! I am delighted to kick off the new year and continue serving the Woodrow Community, which is built upon rich tradition of history and excellence.

At Woodrow, our mission is to know every student personally by creating educational experiences that maximize social, emotional, and academic growth as we prepare our students for success beyond our school walls. We welcome parents, community members, alumni, and organizations to partner with us as we live this mission as our daily reality.

Our theme this year is laissez les bons temps rouler with equity and excellence (let the good times roll)! We will focus on creating a school year with high academic success for our students while nurturing the joy of learning. To stay up to date with our school events and information, I encourage students and parents/families to join our communication systems via Remind.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our school.

Laissez les bons temps rouler with equity and excellence in mind,

Principal Barnett

SCHEDULES
Patience is Appreciated

The counselors are making sure all students have a first period class. If, for some reason, your student does not have a first period class, he or she will be directed to a location.

If your student was unable to pick up his or her schedule last week, it can be found on PowerSchool. Staff will also have schedules available for students to pick up upon arrival.

If your student's schedule is not correct, please do not worry! QR Codes will be placed around the school providing a schedule change request form.

Please do not stop by the counseling suite during the first two weeks of school; the counselors need time to keep working on schedules.

Even though there may be issues with your student’s schedule, please tell them to attend the classes on their schedule until a counselor gives them a new schedule. This will prevent students from being marked absent.

Schedules will be changed for the first two weeks of school, and this includes leveling of class sizes. We believe schedules will be fixed by September 1, 2023.

We appreciate your patience and understanding with this matter and are looking forward to a great school year.
