Debate

Woodrow Debate competes in policy debate in the Dallas Urban Debate Alliance and is coached by Mr. Joseph Reyes and Mr. Robert Hearne. Last year Woodrow qualified yet again for the Urban Debate National Championships. The team of Jack Hill and Stella Hayler advanced to the Octofinals and Jack received an individual top 20 award. 

The team meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays in portable 16. 

Woodrow took top honors at Dallas Urban Debate Alliance in 2017.

Woodrow Debate kicked off it's season with success at the first Dallas Urban Debate Alliance tournament of the year.  See a Flickr photo collection.

Woodrow's Elizabeth Collins and Alexander Van Geenan won first place Varsity team. 

In the JV division Trace Rosenbower and Henry Lloyd placed 5th as a team and Jackson Hansen and Agianna Kurbally finished 9th. Lucas Rogers, Alexander Van Geenan and Jackson Hansen all received top 10 speaker awards.
